First real blog post

This photo was taken during Hurricane Katrina, which struck New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2005. It is of the Super Dome, which is where the New Orleans Saints play football. After Hurricane Katrina struck the city, the football arena was turned into an emergency shelter for the people of New Orleans. The color of the cots repeats over and over in the photograph. This repetition emphasizes just how many cots had to be used and makes you think about how many people were forced to use to Super Dome as a shelter, after the hurricane. The repetition of the cot colors reinforces what a sad situation this was for thousands of people.
