advertisement

  For the assignment of creating our own ad, I had originally wanted to make fun of the concept of expensive and perishable materials be a necessity in life. But now I am going to photograph flowers and all the occasions they are used for. My three studio shots will include; a valentine scene, a get well scene, and a congratulations scene. All of these occasions, flowers are often given as gifts. Im also going to show how flowers are put on headstones and used as gifts for a time of mourning. The purpose of the project is to make you want to buy flowers and to show the vast differences they are used for. My lighting is going to vary based on the scenes, for the headstone scene the lighting will be darker and with a sad gloom feel. My studio shots are brighter lit to go with the scenes of happy occasions. My company is going to be called, "Pick a Petal'. I want to sell the product because the industry is used for a wide variety and it makes sense to want to sell something that is in constant demand. Flowers can make someone smile for days, so I want to promote that as well as giving flowers to someone you love, wether on a headstone or in person. The product is not needed to sustain life but is needed to sustain a happy relationship (;

This add makes you want to go and buy beautiful roses just for yourself, or to see a happy look on a loved ones face.

What are you selling? What is the name of your company? Why do you support this product? How are you going to convince me that I need what you are selling? What is the lighting going to be like? I want you to describe your intentions and how you plan to exhibit cohesion and intentional composition. Is your campaign playful or serious? Do I need this for survival or is it simply commodity?

Minimum of 5-7 well written sentences. You can write more if need be. This blog is worth 50 points. Do it well, or be prepared to take a hit. Post images here of other successful ads that you are using for inspiration for extra credit, but you must explain why you posted said image(s)
