Understanding Color

I think my photograph with the black chair in my backyard is the weakest. There is a lot going on and I don't really think that it is focusing on one specific concept of color. I could have cropped it to make it focus on the color and design of the chair. The slide and swing set in the background of the image seems to take away from the chair and draws your eye to that instead of the main focus of the image. The colors seem a bit dull and do not stand out. What I was going for is more toward the design and structure of the chair and how the dirt makes a difference of appearance on the chair.
